This whimsical, loose-fitting pattern has been a hugely popular amongst the sewing community and it is easy to see why. It's a gratifying, speedy sew that is perfect for beginner sewers because it has an easy tied neckline (no need for buttonholes or zips!).
The pattern includes:
- A top option
- Long two-tier or short one-tier dress options
- Short or long sleeved versions
I love that you can sew completely different looks depending on the type of fabric that you choose. Using a linen or cotton will make an everyday, casual dress. Whereas, using something drapey like silk or rayon will result in an elegant, elevated gown for special events or dinner dates.
I chose to create a long sleeved, casual dress using 100% cotton. I made no modifications to the pattern and I love how it turned out - the perfect 'throw on & go' dress!
The pattern instructions are super easy to follow and include helpful diagrams. I'd highly recommend this project for a newbie sewist!
